About Kelly

Animals have always been my passion because of the unconditional love and companionship they provide. But without proper training, dogs can become more of a burden than a joy. Everyone knows stories of dogs that were abused or dropped off at shelters because they became too much for their owners to cope with. So I decided to do something about it!

I am certified through two highly reputable agencies in positively-reinforced canine training for self-discipline and behavioral issues. Training*

Dog training ranges from basic commands to developmental behaviors such as barking, jumping, resource guarding and socializing. Owners can choose from traditional and non-traditional verbal commands, and hand signals. Training in other languages is also an option. All training focuses on the pet's relationship with the owner.

Training sessions are fun! Help will always be available for the rest of your pets life once training is completed!

Sitting

Pet sitting includes cleaning and refilling feeding dishes, playtime for your pet(s), scooping litter boxes, watering indoor and outdoor potted plants, making your home appear lived in while you are away, retrieving mail/packages and bringing in trash cans. You will feel secure knowing your home is in good hands! Videos/pictures will be sent during each visit to let you know how everything is going!

Walking

Dog walking visits will offer your dogs a chance to get outside to go potty and stretch their legs while you are at work! Multiple visits are an option if you have to work late. Videos/pictures will be sent during each visit to let you know how everything is going! Long walks will depend on the weather and the needs of your dogs!

Pet owners are encouraged to hire all services from one source. Caretaker familiarity increases trust and obedience, and minimizes stress and behavioral failures. Single-source caretaking also saves you time and money.

Payments are due in full by the start of the services.

One time meet and greet, for $21.20

This will be held at your house so that your family and animals have a chance to meet me before any training or sitting takes place. We will cover everything you would like for your dog to learn in training, any specific issues you might be having and I'll go over my way of training. We will also go over the things you would like for me to know before the pet sitting visits!

Tax has already been added to the prices.

A meet and greet plus a 1 hour class custom class,

for $127.20

Private one hour custom classes at your home are once weekly for three weeks,

for $392.20

Private one hour custom classes at your home are once weekly for five weeks,

for $689.00

Each class will be designed around the individual needs of your dog and family!

I will send out personalized emails after each training session that go over everything we covered in class!

If your dog still needs work after five weeks then an addition one-two classes can be added for $53.18 per class.

If your dog still needs work after the two additional classes then another round of training will need to be purchased. Once your dog graduates, they are welcome to join other group classes for their own free practice as they are needed. Please ask for more details.

If there is more than one dog in the family that needs to be trained.

Your first dog will be charged the regular price and each additional dog will be charged $53.18 for being trained during the same class.

Private one hour A.K.C classes (conducted at your home and in public) are once weekly for six weeks (per A.K.C. regulations). This will include the test and paperwork needed to mail in the the A.K.C. for your certificate,

Pet sitting and dog walking

(Only taking clients in Versailles and Midway)

$42.40 for a one hour visit. $26.50 for a 1/2 hour visit.

$19.08 for a "pop in" visit = 20 minutes or less. This is for homes with in the 5 mile distance only.

An additional $5.30 will be added per visit if you live more than five miles from my location.

An additional $21.20 will be added if I need to transport your dog to or from my home for any reason.

An additional $8.48 will be charged to dog walking requested on Saturday's. This doesn't apply to pet sitting.

I will not be scheduling dog walking on Sunday's

In 2018 the Kentucky Department of Revenue informed organizations such as dog trainers, sitters and walkers that we will be required to collect the state's 6% sales tax on the total sale of products.

Holidays

The following Holidays and Events will have an additional $8.48 charge added to the regular fee, per pet sitting visit.

Certifications are what set professional trainers apart. I am certified by TWO international training associations that are known for difficulty in earning qualifications and that are discerning in professional standards.

The Association of Professional Dog Trainers, APDT, is a professional organization of individual trainers who are committed to becoming better through continuous education. The APDT offers individual pet dog trainers a respected and concerted voice in the dog world. APDT continues to promote professional trainers in the veterinary profession and to increase public awareness of dog-friendly training techniques.

Founded in 1884, the AKC is the recognized and trusted expert in breed, health and training information for dogs. AKC actively advocates for responsible dog ownership and is dedicated to advancing dog sports.
