About Kelly

Animals have always been my passion because of the unconditional love and companionship they provide. But without proper training, dogs can become more of a burden than a joy. Whether you have a new puppy, received a dog from another family, adopted from a shelter or rescue, or your dog has never received any training...I am here to help! I was certified in 2014 through two highly reputable agencies in positively-reinforced canine training for self-discipline and behavioral issues. The training I provide will give you a meaningful and joy-filled relationship with your dog. Schedule a meet-and-greet and learn what you can do to make your bond with your dog the best it can be!

Services

Training*

Dog training ranges from basic commands to developmental behaviors such as barking, jumping, resource guarding and socializing. Owners can choose from traditional and non-traditional verbal commands, and hand signals. Training in other languages is also an option. All training focuses on the pet's relationship with the owner.

Training sessions are fun! Help will always be available for the rest of your pets life once training is completed!

Board & Train

I now offer a two week board and train package for puppies that are from 6 months old to 1.5 years old (Older dogs can be taken under consideration). I understand that sometimes puppies need a little extra one on one help that is more consistent than doing weekly classes. Your puppy will stay with me and my dogs at my home in their very own relaxing boarding room. I will only take one puppy at a time, so that I am able to give them the special attention they need. I will send video and picture updates daily! All clients must go through a meet- and-greet so we can pick out what your puppy will learn in training! Once your puppy graduates training, they may join my free practice classes where they can help other dogs with things like socialization!

Boarding

This is something special that I offer current and previous training clients. Dogs will stay with me and my dogs at my home in their very own relaxing boarding room! If they do not need to be in a crate, then they have the whole room to themselves with a comfy couch. This offer will be limited to small/medium breed dogs that are not food/dog aggressive, since they will be around my dogs. If they have siblings (canine version), then they are more than welcome to come and stay as well! All dogs must pass a temperament test with my dogs before they are able to board.

One time meet-and-greet

This will be held at your house so that your family and animals have a chance to meet me before any training takes place. We will cover everything you would like for your dog to learn in training and any specific issues you might be having so I can design your classes around the individual needs of your dog and family! I will send out personalized emails after each training session with everything we covered in class. This charge does not apply to the board and train package.

Rate: $20.00

Private one hour custom classes for five weeks

This will be at your home and in public for standard training and socialization.

Once training has finished and your dog has graduated, they may join my free practice classes to continue working on their skills!

Rate: $725.00

Private one hour custom classes for seven weeks

This will be for standard training at your home and in public for dogs that need extra help functioning around other dogs and people...Once training has finished and your dog has graduated, they may join my free practice classes to continue working on their skills!

Rate: $1,008.00

Two week puppy board and train

This will include a 2 hour class at your home once the training is complete so we can go over everything your puppy learned. Help will always be available for the rest of your puppy's life, once they have graduated.

Rate: $3,000.00

(Please ask for details on adding classes if they are needed!)

If there is more than one dog in the family that needs to be trained.

Your first dog will be charged the regular price and each additional dog will be charged $50.00 for being trained during the same class.

Private one hour A.K.C classes for six weeks (per A.K.C. regulations)

This will be conducted at your home and in public. This will include the test and paperwork needed to mail in the the A.K.C. for your certificate

Rate: $864.00

If your dog has already been through professional training and you just need to take the CGC test, it will be $50.00. This will include the test, paperwork that is needed to send to the A.K.C. and a ribbon! Once your dog has graduated, they may join my free practice classes to continue working on their skills!

Dog boarding

This will be in my home and your dogs will get their own private room. I already have crates (if needed), blankets and dog bowls. You may bring beds, indestructible toys, treats and their food.

Rate: $60.00 a night

There will be a $5.00 upcharge for each additional dog.

Please see Holiday dates for additional upcharges for only the first dog, per night.

In 2018 the Kentucky Department of Revenue informed organizations such as dog trainers, sitters and walkers that we will be required to collect the state's 6% sales tax on the total sale of products.

The following Holidays and Events will have an additional $8.00 charge added to the regular fee.

Certifications are what set professional trainers apart. I am certified by TWO international training associations that are known for difficulty in earning qualifications and that are discerning in professional standards.

The Association of Professional Dog Trainers, APDT, is a professional organization of individual trainers who are committed to becoming better through continuous education. The APDT offers individual pet dog trainers a respected and concerted voice in the dog world. APDT continues to promote professional trainers in the veterinary profession and to increase public awareness of dog-friendly training techniques.

Founded in 1884, the AKC is the recognized and trusted expert in breed, health and training information for dogs. AKC actively advocates for responsible dog ownership and is dedicated to advancing dog sports.
